Design Lead

The Langham Hotels Internatinal group was rebranding their entire chain of hotels and was looking to expand. I was brought in as lead designer amongst a multidisciplinary team at Chandelier Creative to communicate their rebranding efforts graphically through their identity for their two main branches; The Langham Place as well as for The Langham Hotels & Resorts. Two distinct identities were to be developed, each targeting their specific demographic but maintaining a consistent connection with their mother brand, Langham Hotels International.


The Langham Hotels & Resorts, operated by Langham Hotels International since 1865, targets a glamourous and classic demographic, with locations in Auckland, Boston, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Pasadena, & Shanghai. They wanted to reinvent their brand while holding on to the hallmarks of what made their classic hotel so special. The project consisted on a complete rebrand of everything from the guest key card, to the in room directories and toiletries. A corporate manual was designed to guide the hotels on the application of their new identity.
